    Tremendous TIRRENO Brass Shipbuilder's Hull Plate
    from one of the leading European shipyards and the largest in Northern Italy.
    Plate is marked:
    CANTIERI DEL TIRRENO
    GENOVA
    TRANSFORMAZIONE IN BULK CARRIER
    ANNO 1962
    Provenance: ship most likely converted from a tanker, due to global pressure to increase number of bulk carriers in world fleet at the time by this well known yard which served Italy in World War 2.
    Solid plate of heavy brass casting with dimensions:
    Weight 40 lbs. X Width 29-1/2" X Height 15-7/8" X 3/8" Thick rim.
    Plate is in good original condition with very slight curve to accommodate bulkhead mount of ship, which can be compensated by mounting on a backboard by buyer if desired for display purposes. Some typical minor surface scuffs, dings, etc as pictured.
