Antique Metal Sign - Cowhey Marine Hardware Brooklyn NY (est. 1862-2006) 1950’s

This original metal sign dates to the 1950’s. It originates from Red Hook, Brooklyn New York. The Company was started in 1862 and closed in 2006.
This was their sign in the 1950’s until it was retired and gifted to another local business where it hung for 40 years in their garage, until purchased by me.

The sign measures at 48”x 28” and is hand painted on a steel metal sheet.
Obviously this sign is a one of one and is of course a rare find.
