This lovely gemstone sea turtle figurine fetish is hand carved from iridescent Labradorite.
It is 2.6 inches long by 1.65 inches wide and 1 inch thick.
Semi precious gemstone Labradorite has a background color of dark gray, but displays a beautiful iridescence, giving off rainbow-colored reflections known as labradorescence when light hits it in certain directions.
Labradorite is a feldspar and it shows the iridescent display of colors due to minute inclusions of another mineral.
It is named after where it was first found: Labrador, Canada, although our gemstone material comes from Madagascar.
