    ORESUNSDVARVET SHIPYARD BUILDER'S PLAQUE
    This heavy plaque has been in my personal nautical collection for over 40 years.  I am starting to liquidate a lot of important items due to advancing age.  I do not know if this is original or a reproduction, but it definitely is at least 40 years old, as it has been in my personal collection since the late 1970's.
    Oresundsvarvet was a world-class shipbuilding yard in Landskrona, Sweden, that fell victim to
    the onslaught of shipyards in the Far East, with far lower labor costs and newer, more modernized automated production techniques.  Nonetheless, in it's day, Oresundsvarvet was a major component of the Gotaverken, and then SvenskaVarv shipbuilding conglomerates that eventually disappeared from Sweden's shipbuilding heritage.
    The bronze plaque (with lots of patina) is mounted on an oval wood base (I believe of teak).  It is 18" x 14" and can be wall-hung.
